Before joining the firm, Casey served as a law clerk for the Hon. John T. Copenhaver and the Hon. Robert C. Chambers of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.  Casey’s experience as a federal law clerk has provided her with insight into the mechanics of a wide array of civil and criminal actions and unique perspective into what effective advocacy looks like from the other side of the bench.


Casey earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law, where she was valedictorian of her class. While attending FIU Law, she served as an Executive Managing Editor for the FIU Law Review. Casey was also a member of the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Team, a student advocate with the FIU Law Death Penalty Clinic, and a research and teaching assistant for multiple professors.


During law school, Casey served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Darrin P. Gayles of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and completed various public defense and public interest internships.


Prior to attending law school, Casey worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, teaching language, play, and self-help skills to children with disabilities.
